Hi, Cistine. Unfortunately, I don’t make the rules. That’s a topic you would need to take up with the companies hiring for these positions. That being said, I don’t believe Cambly requires a degree.

I think there are many such as myself who are fluent in English, but did not complete a degree. Mine was for financial reasons that I had to leave, but I did study at degree level. Feeling that you are not good enough as those who did complete their degree just does not seem fair.

People in this position are just as able to read , write and speak advanced English, even business English as others, I feel these people do not get the highest pay choice, even when non completion of a degree still reads as having no mind to that standard of education , even when they do have.

Enrolling to study should have it own merits, there should be 3 classifications , completed, not completed degree, but enrolled at university, no degree education at all.

Those in customer service usually have a set schedule, many freelance service providers, on the other hand, work whenever and wherever they want as long as they meet their deadlines. Many freelancers only communicate by email. My team, for example, works all over the world. We only communicate by email. I work only during the day and they usually work at night after their kids are in bed.

Thanks for sharing, Mary. My experience with Arise was a good one as well. That’s one of the first places I worked when I started working from home back in 2007.

You may do well then, to look into ARISE. They normally have contracts with Turbo Tax around this time of year, and you can either work directly for ARISE as a contractor (training is free but unpaid) or, you can set yourself up as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) and work for yourself, and/or hire others to work for you.

My daughter worked directly for ARISE on a pest control contract, and it paid pretty good during the pest company’s busy season. But once the busy season tapered off, ARISE did cut back on her hours, and although you can then sign up for another contract, it was a bit of a turn off because now, you have to apply and train for a whole new contract. (that part kinda stinks).

I only recommend them because it might be a good way for you to get some training (sometimes free but usually, you have to pay for each contract you sign up for), then perhaps, you could parlay that experience into bigger opportunities with H&R Block, an accountant firm, or if you really like it and are good at it, establish a small business for yourself! (all the help you need to establish your own business can be found on the SBA’s website).

Small tip: If they’re offering the Turbo Tax contract…and if you decide to go for it…and if there is a charge for the contract, don’t be afraid to call them and ask if they are offering any discounts. (they used to do that often to help defray the cost of picking up a contract). I ended up paying $20 for (what would have been) a $79.00 contract with Carnival Cruise Lines, as a cruise reservation agent. Unfortunately, things came up that conflicted with my actually getting the chance to work the contract, even though I completed all of the training.

To be fair, I know people who have signed up with ARISE who tell of both good and bad experiences, and online reviews about ARISE are mixed. My daughter’s experience was a good one. But I can name a few others who have a different story to tell.

Just thought you should have all the facts going in, but you’ll be the best judge of whether or not its right for you.

Just an idea here but those RV owners traveling by truck, towing their RV, can hire out to do RV deliver/transport.

Our website is developing a marketplace for transport drivers who will deliver RV’s for rent. We’re also looking for RV Vacation Rental Managers to consign other RV’s and rent them out for owners, doing the deliver and set up in exchange for 1/2 of the rent earned.

This opportunity isn’t available everywhere, but it is very popular and growing in areas where RV Camping is popular, and where people want to vacation or do weekend getaways.

This is a nice outline of monetizing a blog. One of the things that I think a lot of people don’t understand when they start a blog is how much goes into actually building domain authority so that your site will show up in google and other search engines. Even with a great hosting plan and nice WordPress website, site owners need to invest a lot of time and effort into authority building so that traffic increases. I’m one of the crazies that thinks it’s actually worth it, though. And clearly so do you! I love this post and love everyone who’s commenting on here who are all going for it. I really enjoy reading your tips and advice. I only wish the UK was more open-minded to working-from-home. We have only just begun to understand flexible working, and very few companies offer it! Through a lot of hard work and research online I have managed to find a few UK opportunities most of these are clickwork and mystery shopping. I enjoy them both but when I tell people what I do they tend to look at me as if I have two heads and then when I explain it they usually say something along the lines of “Oh so it isn’t “proper” work.” which leaves me feeling quite deflated. Work over here to most people means going out of the house and working 9-5, to me it’s about doing a job and earn money from it.

You mentioned Inbox Dollars there is also Inbox Pounds and there is a Swagbucks UK too. I have now managed to find about 20 UK sites that pay for answering surveys, and am registered with 6 or so Mystery Shopping agencies. My real passion is writing and I have managed to get some articles published, I think I was more excited about seeing my work in print than the pay. 🙂 My search continues for more profitable work from home opportunites but I just wanted to say thank you for positive, encouraging and inspiring website.

Creating a tribe of Pinners saving the similar content with big followings is key.

It has a few features that BoardBooster doesn’t have. They both have their advantages. I’m using both at this time.

It looks promising, Kylie. I only have six power Pinners in my select tribe. On 18 shares over the weekend, I saw a potential reach of over 400,000. I’m anxious to see how it performs over time.

I don’t worry much about soliciting for comments anymore Bradley, as my most devoted fans are on my newsletter list or in my private Facebook Group. Email newsletters convert at a tremendously high percentage rate and those are people that will revisit your site over and over again should you treat them right.

While there is hardly anything to add here I just want to add that while writing quality and actionable posts on my blog, it is still not enough as you need to work on promoting each post to generate comments.

These comments I think is an indication of reputation building and most likely your commenters will come back for more posts. And even buy my affiliate products since the trust is already developed.

I love having options, Cori. I do a lot more work away from my desk these days.

I was one that quit before I had myself started too, but I don’t regret it. That fear of failure gave me even more drive and determination. Some of us work best under pressure. And as long as you have the determination, you can’t fail. 😉

I tried to build my freelance writing business a bit at a time, while working a full time job, with the aim of having some solid clients before I made the leap into full time. It didn’t work for me so I took a radical leap and quit my job.

It’s the scariest thing I’ve ever done, and I’m only a few weeks in so it’s tough to tell how well it’s going so far. I’ve got a couple of clients and I’m working on pitches for more. It’s a hugely steep learning curve and at the moment my working hours (mainly for researching my chosen primary niche) are ‘when I’m conscious’. I’ve never worked so hard, been so scared, or felt so alive.

You can speak another language besides English? Even better. There’s many YouTube channels in English and sometimes it is difficult to find something that’s not already there. But, in other languages, this is easier. I’m not a native English speaker and have several channels in my native language and I’ve found that is much easier to gain audience because of the scarcity that exists in the non-English YouTube world.

Hi, Monica. The seller sets the price. The scanner will show you the selling rank of the item on Amazon, how many sellers have the item listed, the prices, how many are available for sale and more. Sellers use it to help them determine whether an item is worth purchasing for resale.

I have been searching for something like this, very excited. is it like ebay though in the sense you have to post photos and prices etc? or thry amazon does all that? Im sure you go over this in your boot camp.I dont understand what the scan thing on the smart phone does, to help decide to buy or not, who sets the prices?

Just to clarify, I didn’t get approved for Etsy through Zanox, but got approved through Affiliate Windows (which are part of Zanox, so quite confusing). Yes, you can link builder, they also have a Convert-a-link plugin which can convert all your links on a page for you. I haven’t used it yet, as I’m just getting some content together before I get started.

I’ve had more success on Twitter and Instagram but Facebook seems to be my challenge. I haven’t made my way to Periscope yet but a lot of bloggers I know can’t stop raving about it.

Now when you’ve been approved through Zanox, do you have a possibility to use Link Builder (so you can link to specific products or pages on etsy.com)?! Or not? For me it’s the main thing in all Partners Programm cause I use only Social Media so banners are not available for me to promote etsy artists.

I have now been accepted into the UK Etsy affiliate program. Originally I followed the online link which took me to Zanox where I applied. However, as I’m in the UK, I needed to apply directly to the UK one via Affiliate Windows instead of Zanox (you can’t see the UK Etsy on Zanox). But this was not clear until the Angie kindly redirected my to go through Affiliate Windows instead.
FYI, once I was approved, the link they sent me to the “getting started guide” didn’t work, but the Etsy rep has just now emailed me a pdf to it, so all resolved.

AStore can be a nice compliment to an existing site, but they usually don’t promote well on their own. I prefer a dedicated page where you can share why you personally recommend each item as opposed to something with general store descriptions. Many bloggers title these pages “Resources” or “Recommended Tools.”

I haven’t done any book promoting in awhile, but there used to be a lot of benefit to offering your eBook free for a limited time. And there were several sites that would share those free eBooks on their blogs and newsletters. At that time, there were a lot of Fiverr Sellers offering to submit free ebooks to those sites.
