Selling Stuff on Amazon
This was one of the hottest home business opportunities of 2015 in my opinion. I quickly became a fan of the operation and its huge potential. And when I say “huge,” I mean HUGE. Jessica from over at The Selling Family has seen over $40,000 in profits in just one month from her FBA sales. When it comes to sourcing products to sell, Jessica says liquidation and surplus stores are a goldmine. There is some investment and risk involved with this one. Lucky for us, Jessica has a few courses I highly recommend to new sellers including her popular Amazon Bootcamp.

Blogging
For those with knowledge to share and a passion to get them through the learning curve, blogging holds a lot of potential. I make well over $5,000 per month from my blogs, but it did take time. And it probably took a lot more time than necessary as I tried to figure everything out on my own. But, I stuck it out and am reaping the rewards today.
Your first step in creating a profitable blog is choosing a topic you love. Don’t start a blog about something simply because you think someone else is making money from the topic. You’ll be dead in the water from burnout before you make your first dime. Pick a subject you’d talk about for free because you probably will be for awhile.
Next, get yourself set up with a catchy domain and hosting. Bluehost is a great user-friendly place for beginners.

Virtual Assisting
Michelle over at Making Sense of Cents earned over $5,000 last month managing the blogs and social media accounts of others. If you are a blogger yourself, you have a desirable, marketable skillset that can help boost your income. This is something I talk about in great detail in my new course The Blogger’s VA. This is a great opportunity to maximize your online profits. If you want to work as a virtual assistant, let people know you are a virtual assistant. Too many could-be successful freelancers sit around waiting for clients to come to them. Go out there and get them!

Selling Your Knowledge
There is big bucks to be made as an “infopreneur.” And despite what you may be thinking, the only people making money this way are not just people talking about how to make money this way. Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog has diversified her product offerings this past year and it’s paying off. Many months her income from her life planner and organization printables meets or exceeds those numbers. (People are lovin’ printables right now!) Also, I really loved Regina’s 3-Day Create Course.
A Little Extra…
A work-from-home life wouldn’t be complete without a little passive income and spare change. I highly recommend signing up for Ebates if you are going to work online. That little program earns me anywhere from $400 to $1000 extra per month. You can also earn a little extra doing your online searches with Swagbucks and scanning your grocery receipts with Ibotta.
Hi Angie,
Who wouldn’t want to make $5000 a month! I’m not quite there with my blog but I’m well on my way. I’m seriously thinking about throwing my name in the freelance writing arena as another way to generate some income. 🙂
Thank you for sharing these suggestions with us. There is a little something for everyone here. You know I’m passing this along!
Hope you’re having a great day!
Take care,
Cori
So much opportunity there, Cori. Best of luck!
i am interested in job at home where i could make this much . if you could give me guidance to do this i would greatly appreciate that.
Hi Angie, 🙂
How do you earn $400 to $1000 extra per month with Ebates?
Thanks!
Stacie
Ebates offers rockin’ bonuses for referring friends. In addition to receiving $5 each, this quarter you get $25 for your first referral, $100 extra when you refer 10 and so on. Last quarter I had over 100 referrals in addition to my own holiday shopping online.
I am very interested in making money from, but I could use some guidance on how to get started. Not really sure where to start or how to even get my name out there.

Is it matter my location in the case of the virtual assistant?
I’m from Hungary.
Thanks!
Timi
Some opportunities are location-specific, Timi. You will need to check them individually.
Okay, thank you for the fast answer.
(and sorry for my english)
Have a great weekend,
Timi
I want to learn “how to” but I turn away from things because everyone charges so much money to learn! Who can afford $297 to learn about blogging or Amazon or whatever. My experience, most people that are looking for ways to earn money online don’t have a job and they need income of some kind. Paying a lot of money to learn how just doesn’t work.
You can learn for free, Lynn. It’s just a very slow process in most cases. Investing in an online course is no different than paying for an education in the offline world. You are paying for expertise, time saved and experience. I honest to goodness spent years trying to earn a full-time income online by consuming free information. It wasn’t until I investing in a step-by-step process from someone in my field that I made it happen.
If you don’t have the money now, make it a long-term goal. Set back $10 a week for that purpose.
Believe me the Amazon course from The Selling Family was excellent. Well worth the money and I made it back in 2 weeks.
Expertise isn’t free.
Thanks, Alana. Jessica is full of great information!
Hi, Angie
When you were selling on Amazon what tyeepe of products were you selling. How can I find out what products are good sellers?
Thank you,
Kim Brown
I have never sold on Amazon, Kim. I believe The Selling Family has some great info on choosing products https://theworkathomewife.com/go/fbabootcamp.
Hello Angie, I’m already working from home with an Apparel manufacturer company doing some heavy duty things. Eventhough I would like to get an extra passive. And been wondering why most of this opportunities from company are limited to people living in the states? Im from Dominican Republic.
Great content and great info you have here, keep it up!
It’s usually due to employment laws and sometimes tax implications, Carlos.
Great info. I’m working on the blog thing now. I would do it for free (have off & on for about 12 years anyhow 😉 ) but wanted to try & “let” it pay for itself, at least & help out with our tight family finances at most! I’m sharing a unique story from our marriage of over 30 years plus other life stuff including dealing with type 1 diabetes & depression for over 40 years, homeschooling my sons & corralling various & sundry critters. Always looking for insight & friendship!
Welcome, Geannie. Keep at it!
