INSIDE: If you are looking for a seasonal job this holiday season, but the sheer thought of working in retail during the holly-est, jolly-est times of the year is just too much, look no further. One of the best ways to make some extra money over the holidays is to look for seasonal work-from-home jobs.
The holiday season is a great opportunity for those new to remote work to get their foot in the door with a holiday work-from-home job.
A work-from-home job can help out with the bills or holiday gifts while providing some much-needed remote experience for your resume. Give it a shot!
And if you are good at it and enjoy the work, it may turn into a long-term position.
What Are Seasonal Work From Home Jobs?
In many cases, these jobs can be quick to hire, get you trained, and make you income within a short period.
The most abundant positions will often have you work at home taking orders or assisting with customer service questions.
Much of the work-from-home holiday jobs will be temporary, so even if a phone job isn’t your idea of a dream job, it’s only a few months!
The pay is often good, hours are plentiful, and it’s a steady paycheck through the end of the year.
Who Hires for Holiday Work-from-Home Jobs?
There is no shortage of legit companies looking to ensure their phones, chat boxes, and emails are covered during the peak season. Here are some of the best holiday work-from-home jobs.
1. Alorica
This is where I got my work-at-home start back in 2007. Back then, it was known as West@Home. I worked at home taking orders for a popular television shopping channel.
My work with this company started in the fall and I was asked to stay on after the holiday shopping season was over. I enjoyed that gig and continued working the minimum weekly commitment for over a year just to keep it as a backup plan in case I needed it.
Alorica offers customer service and sales positions working with several clients for their seasonal work-from-home jobs. You will have the opportunity to apply to individual projects once hired.
They offer a flexible schedule and say most agents are making between minimum wage and $13 per hour. These are employee positions.
Alorica does not hire in every location. You will be informed about eligibility in your location early in the application process.
2. Amazon
Amazon work-at-home customer service positions are some of the most coveted at-home roles leading up to the holiday season. I don’t see any seasonal customer service openings at this time, but when they come open, you need to apply fast!
These are employee positions and generally require a commitment of 20-29 hours per week. If you perform well and meet the commitments for these seasonal work-from-home jobs, you may be asked to stay on year-round.
The pay for this can be up to $17 per hour. Amazon currently hires remote workers in 30 states for holiday work-from-home jobs.
3. Amazon Flex
If you have a reliable car, you may be able to make money for Christmas delivering packages for Amazon.
At the time of writing this post, the Amazon Flex website says drivers can earn $18 to $25 per hour. You can select your schedule and availability through the Flex app.
This opportunity is currently available in 50 US cities. You can get on their waitlist for seasonal work-from-home jobs if your city isn’t yet covered.
4. Concentrix
Concentrix has been offering work-at-home jobs since 2004. These are employee positions. As an employee, income taxes are taken out of your check. Concentrix works with many clients. Pay starts at $10 per hour for their seasonal work-from-home jobs. Payment is every two weeks by direct deposit or pay card.
According to their website, they currently hire in most states. Please refer to individual job listings for location requirements. Concentrix states the hiring process is usually 7-10 days.

7. HSN
This is a fun gig. Unfortunately, it’s only available in three states: Florida, Ohio, and Tennessee. (And possibly Virginia, as well.)
Pay is reportedly in line with other similar positions though not openly listed on the website. Many reviews of this position state they love it. Their seasonal work-from-home jobs are pretty laid back. There may be flexibility and benefits available.
8. Liveops
Liveops is another long-standing, trusted outsourced customer service company. Agents enjoy a flexible schedule and the perks that come with showing they are top performers.
This company offers scheduling in 30-minute performers or their holiday work-from-home jobs. That’s something many work-at-homers love. According to the current FAQs, they also don’t have any minimum hourly commitments. Nice!
Pay can vary by client. Some pay a flat hourly rate. Some pay talk-time only. Liveops is currently open to remote agents living in many of the United States.
You do have to pay for a background check which is $45. That’s not too uncommon for these positions and shouldn’t be something that raises a red flag unless it’s a company you are not familiar with.
