I recently ran a poll among my community to find out if my followers preferred to get paid by PayPal-, check, or direct deposit. Much to my surprise, most people who responded want their online jobs paid through a bank account. No checks, please. And don’t get me started on PayPal transaction fees…
The good news is there are plenty of work-at-home jobs that pay by direct deposit. And you’ll also find a good mix of those that pay weekly, biweekly and monthly.
Many companies out there would prefer to pay their seasonal, temporary, or freelance employees by PayPal or even gift cards instead of directly into a checking account or savings account. Why? They can avoid a pesky bank processing fee.
If you are looking for a side hustle with a direct payment, get your routing number and bank account number ready. Below you will find a list of the best places to find jobs that pay you by direct deposit.
Entry Level Online Jobs Paid Through a Bank Account
3Play Media currently has openings for transcription editors. Contractors average $10 to $30 per hour, according to the website. Word on the street is payment is direct deposit.
Amazon mTurk is what’s known as a short task site. “Turkers” make money by completing small tasks called HITs. You can transfer your earnings to an Amazon Payments account and then transfer those funds to your bank account via direct deposit.
Amazon Work from Home Customer Service is a popular position. These openings are usually seasonal and temporary with the biggest hiring season being in the fall.
Appen hires social media and search engine evaluators. This is a fan favorite among my community. It’s non-phone with a flexible schedule. Agents are paid monthly. Blue Zebra If you have the ability to cold-call, this could be a great job for you. Blue Zebra is an appointment settling company. Measurement, Inc. is another fan favorite among my readers. In this position, you will be reading and evaluating essays. You must have a bachelor’s degree to be considered. This is another position that is seasonal and temporary with the biggest need being March to June.
Pearson also hires at-home scorers. Again, you will need at least a bachelor’s degree.
Qkids finds itself in one of the hottest at-home industries of the moment – teaching English online. You don’t need a teaching certificate for this gig, only a bachelor’s degree in any subject. You can earn $16 to $20 per hour (base pay is $8 per 30-minute session). Payment is monthly.
UberEATS will pay you to deliver food orders in your community. You can have your earnings deposited onto your bank debit card up to five times per day. This is a great gig to have in place should an emergency funds situation ever arrive. And it will.
Yup offers online tutoring services in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Tutors are paid monthly by direct deposit. You will need to pass a subject and teaching exam. Tutors are compensated based on experience and content mastery.
There are also several survey sites that offer the option of direct deposit. Many of those survey sites also offer the option of crypto/bitcoin, gift cards, and merch as a form of a payout. You do have to be careful and make sure the sites you are working with are trustworthy. Usually, some sort of third-party processor is involved in the transaction. Third-party processors are required to follow strict banking, privacy, and security laws.
Another quick note – choosing the option of direct deposit can equal a few conditions. Those conditions could look like longer waiting periods for payment, hidden fees, delayed first payment, threshold requirements, and waiting until set business days until the transaction is available in your account. Despite these slight drawbacks, this is still a great way to earn extra money.
