Have you been wondering how to make money on Poshmark? You are not alone. This online reselling platform has become increasingly popular in recent years with over 40 million community members as of January 2019.
The great thing about Poshmark is that it’s user-friendly. Unlike eBay where you need to determine your own shipping costs and methods, Poshmark’s platform is streamlined and efficient. You make a sale, they email you a prepaid shipping label. Put your item in almost any shipping box and schedule a pickup with your mailperson.
In a few short months, I have been able to sell over 200 items on Poshmark for a few thousand dollars. Not everyone’s experience will be the same. Your profit potential will be determined by the items you carry, how you price them and how active you are on the platform.
On this page, I hope to share with you some of my top tips and resources for making money on Poshmark.

Poshmark Resources
Here are a few of my favorite tools and resources as a Poshmark reseller:
Sales Dashboard – Whoa! Data for the win! These sales and inventory dashboards will let you get an in-depth look at how your Poshmark – or other online store – is performing on the micro-level. What brands are working? What day of the week are you making the most sales? What’s your average sale price? What’s triggering the most sales? I LOVE these dashboards. Just upload your Poshmark Sales Report, set a few goals and GO.
Stuff on Amazon – From polymer shipping bags to cleaning supplies, there are a lot of things I buy on Amazon to make my reselling life easier and more efficient.
Reseller Tax Academy – If you are reselling for profit, you need to think about taxes. This self-paced course from Not Your Dad’s CPA will walk you through everything you need to know – even if you have a hot mess on your hands!
Size.ly – Measurements got you down? Size.ly can help you create simple templates for measuring your clothing. The service is currently used by over 35,000 online sellers! Get started for free.
List Perfectly – Wish you could branch out to other selling platforms but the idea of creating all of those listings holding you back? I hear ya! I use List Perfectly to cross-post my items from Poshmark to Mercari, eBay and more. A few clicks of the mouse and you’re done. More platforms = more sales!
The Container Store – Every reseller needs good storage solutions. The Container Store has tons of great closet and storage items to meet your needs. I love their clear weathertight garage storage tubs for keeping my clothing items clean and collected.
ThredUp – Want more items to list on Poshmark but are short on time? Maybe you don’t have many suitable sourcing spots in your area. ThredUp Rescue Boxes are an easy way to get your hands on more inventory. There are no guarantees, but it’s worth a shot if you love to roll the dice.
