It’s been so fun to learn more about what work from home options are available for people in other states. It’s helped me to realize the vast potential for working at home, no matter where in the country you live. So many amazing companies are hiring remote workers.
This means there are no excuses. If you want to work from home, you can find an opportunity that works for you.
Next up in my location specific work-at-home jobs series is Idaho, the Gem State. Because there are many rural areas in Idaho that don’t have high-speed internet available, make sure you speed check your internet if you don’t have a great connection. Double check the internet requirements for the jobs you apply for, as those are often non-negotiable. Satellite connections and internet through a mobile device are often not acceptable forms of internet.

1. CVS Health
CVS Health is looking to hire a Content Marketing Senior Director for a remote position. Candidates from Idaho are eligible to apply. If you are a digitally-savvy content professional, and understand channel optimization, segmentation, and analytics, you should definitely check out this position. However, this is not an entry level job, and a master’s degree is preferred. They are looking for someone with over 15 years of experience in B2B marketing.
This company is also looking for a Pharmacy Technician. After a training period of 30-90 days, this position is work from home, but you must be able to attend the training on-site in Boise. For this job, you need to have an active Idaho Trainee Pharmacy Technician Registration or be an Idaho Registered Pharmacy Technician.
2. Full Creative
Full Creative wants to add a Client Experience Associate from Idaho to the team. In this role, you must be able to provide excellent support to customers with a cloud-based phone system. You will be the first point of contact and answering service, which means being poised and professional is crucial.
This position starts at $12/hour, and after 60 days some benefits are available. You will be required to work 32 hours a week between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm Pacific time.
3. TSheets
Over in Eagle, the TSheets by QuickBooks team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to fill a remote position. They’re looking for an experienced candidate who is passionate about design.
Being able to create beautiful, seamless customer experiences is essential. Their ideal candidate has a degree in human-computer interaction, design, or a related discipline.
4. Rosetta Stone
Do you love the English language? Rosetta Stone is searching for an English Online Language Tutor who can work 8-10 hours each week from the Boise, Idaho area. Tutors will facilitate small online sessions to help learners improve their language skills and socialize with English. You must have availability between 5 am and 10 am Eastern on the days you work.
5. Partner Hero
With headquarters in Boise, Partner Hero helps build globally distributed teams for startups. They are looking to fill different customer support positions. You will need to read the job requirements carefully. Several require you to be on-site at the Boise office. Others allow you to work from home with occasional travel to Boise. And others are completely remote. Always read the details so you know which position you are applying for.
To succeed as a customer support analyst, you must be able to reply promptly and efficiently when tickets come in. Being able to work independently is essential. Tech-savvy candidates who can offer great customer support will be a great fit for the positions.
6. Western Governors University
If you have experience in education and a terminal degree in your industry, Western Governors University is looking for you! They’re hiring several course instructors to work from a home office. They need professors for nursing, physical science, healthcare finance, math, and more. The exact qualifications and certifications vary by degree program, so check out their list of openings and see if you can join the WGU team.
Candidates hired for these positions will work primarily from their home office. However, they must be able to travel occasionally to attend meetings. The main office of WGU is in Arizona, so that means you need to be able to travel out of state when required.
7. Liberty Healthcare Corporation
If you’re looking for a position that works from a home office, but does include regularly travel throughout the Lewiston region, check out Liberty Healthcare Corporation. They are looking for an assessor, a health and human services professional. In this position, you will travel throughout the region and conduct in-person visits with clients. You will assess people, gather and interpret information, and determine client eligibility. There is a lot of paperwork involved in this position, so you must be highly organized.
This position has an annual salary of $48,000. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, a year of professional experience serving people with disabilities, and the ability to be productive in a work-from-home position.
