I don’t know what company this woman works for but I’ve been a dasher for about 6 months and I don’t have any manager of any kind. Yes you choose what area you want but they will assign you orders for every area other then the one you chose. This translates into much greater distances traveled and only allows you about one delivery per hour. Between the time it takes and the gas used it usually is not worth it for a lousy $5 and the measly $1-$2 dollar tip. I think they purposely do this in order to limit the number of deliveries you can do in one hour. In order to get the extra “$10 per hour Guaranty” bonus you have to accept a minimum of 90% of orders assigned to you. If I had to accept almost every order sent to me I would end up losing money not making money. There is the potential to make some decent money with Doordash but they do everything they can to prevent it.

Not all areas pay $5/dash. That is city by city. Charlotte, for example, is only $4/dash.

That sounds like a REALLY good solution to delivery problems, especially for smaller or sporadic restaurants! It’s also fantastic from the POV of the delivery driver: cash!
