I am curious, are these available in Canada also. My husband is currently in school full time and we have two young boys that will be in school full time starting next fall. About this post, you truly introduced me to some different ways to earn money from home. I started off my career as a content writer and then moved on to become a full-time blogger. In reply to Halli. Hi, Halli. Most customer service or chat jobs will require high-speed internet as your connection greatly impacts your ability to do your job. most have you logging into their system to perform the work. Freelance writing or something similar would be a great fit however.

Hi, Gayle. Legitimate data entry jobs are extremely hard to come by. Sadly, most of those available are extremely low paying.

I can vouch for the viability of freelance writing. I was able to get into it with no prior experience, no credentials, and no contacts – yet very quickly got to the point where I was making $60 per hour of my time. There is lots of demand for it if you know where to look, and once you get away from the content mills and find your own clients directly, you can make a good living.

Being in sales can also provide a great work from home opportunity. I used my years of retail and management skills to become a sales rep for a reputable company. Usually the company headquarters is located elsewhere and you will have a specific geographic area to cover while working from a home office.

I was laid off a few months ago and I’ve been posting graphic design work on a few of the sites you have listed along with a few others you don’t have listed. It has been a really good income stream for me.

I didn’t see any of these jobs listed, you should consider checking out.

damongo.com – Great for micro jobs, users and listing seem to be increasing at a steady rate.
seoclerks.com – Good for SEO related stuff
gigbux.com – Similar to damongo, quite a few micro jobs.
mycheapjobs – another one with a hefty amount of micro jobs

I would LOVE to find an at home billing job as I have years of experience but nothing in my area offers it! I work full time now in accounting/finance but I am needing a second job to bring a decent amount of extra income into the home. Most of these sadly, I do not qualify for or they require more than part time working hours. I’ve looked all over for work at home billing jobs, or even data entry but most have you take a test and fill out an application but never respond! I work in direct sales from home! Its been amazing! My husband is the main source of income and I stay home with the kids and “work” during their nap time! It’s been fun to bring in money for things that we don’t have to budget for or buying groceries and have extra room in the budget! I know some girls use this as their full time job and only income source…I’m not at that point yet but we’re getting closer!!!!

My company hires people as editors to work from home as independent contractors. We do quality control and editing on mystery shoppers’ reports–thousands and thousands of them every month. It is a great job for detail-oriented people who are grammar geeks, comfortable on computers, and willing to perservere through the weeks it takes to learn the forms, standards, and software. We pay a flat rate per form, even while we’re training you, but it usually takes a couple months to get to where an editor is making the $12/hour that the average editor makes. One great company that I did not see, perhaps I missed it….is Apple. They have remote phone and chat advisor positions…I worked there for quite a while and loved it!! It’s part time for the most part but there are sometimes full time positions available as well. You can check it out at jobs.apple.com.
