Sure. You can find a million and one lists of companies who hire for work-at-home. But, have you ever just wanted to cut to the chase and find out who has the openings TODAY?
If so, I’ve rounded up a list of opportunities and work-at-home jobs you can start applying for today. These companies have openings as of June 12, 2018. But, act fast! These slots may fill up quickly.
Online English Tutors
Qkids is looking for tutors to teach English online. You don’t need a teaching certificate or any formal teaching experience with this one. A bachelor’s degree in any subject (or latter year enrolled university students) and any organized experience with kids such as mentoring, tutoring or coaching may be accepted. You do need to record a 1-2 minute video as part of the application process but that can simply be telling or reading a children’s story. You can totally do that!
Class time slots are available early mornings 7 days per week (Eastern time) and late evening (EST) Friday and Saturday.
The base pay is $16 per hour plus bonuses. With full bonuses, the pay is $20 USD per hour.
These ESL (English-as-a-Second Language) positions have become a fan favorite among the work-at-home community. Their great pay and scheduling flexibility has made them a hot lead.
Online English Tutors
SayABC is one of the fastest growing English tutoring sites right now. Tutors working for this site teach up to four students in an online classroom at a time. These students are aged 5 to 12 and located in China.
These are 3-month renewable contracts that allow you to set your own schedule. The curriculum is provided and developed with National Geographic. Teacher support is provided by experienced mentors.
This site offers some of the highest rates in the industry at up to $21 per 40-minute class. As with most English-as-a-Second language positions, available hours are weekday evenings and weekends Beijing time.
To be qualified, applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree or above (final year students will also be considered), relevant teaching experience and speak native English. High-speed internet and a webcam are also required.
Corporate Travel Agent
This one is for those of you with previous corporate travel experience of at least one year. Intelenet is looking for Corporate Travel Agents to join their team and book both domestic and international reservations for their clients.
You must be able to work quickly while being unfailingly polite and professional with customers, be well-versed in SABRE, and be strongly self-motivated. Most schedules will be Monday through Friday, starting between 8-10AM CST.
For those hired part-time, this position pays a minimum of $12.50; for full-time, $13.50. Benefits include paid training, equipment being provided, travel benefits, healthcare insurance, and PTO.
Customer Support
Sutherland Global Services is hiring part-time customer support reps for the cable industry! They advise that part-time here means between 20-29 hours of work each week, with the possibility of more hours during their high-volume periods. In order to qualify, you should have a high school diploma (or equivalent), type at least 30 WPM, be able to multitask, and have both fantastic customer service skills and good problem-solving skills.
On this job, you’ll answer inbound calls from customers, help them with product questions and troubleshooting, do some sales, multitask and interface with other departments, and more. They provide some equipment for this job – particularly a ThinClient PC. You must provide a monitor, mouse, keyboard, headset, and high-speed Internet access.
Virtual Tech Support
This position with Conduent meets a lot of the requirements voiced to me by readers recently:
- It only requires a typing speed of 25 WPM while talking processing calls.
- It’s full-time.
- It comes with medical, dental and vision coverage along with FSA, HSA and 401K options.
- Training is paid at $12/hour. Once you begin work, the hourly rate is $13/hr.
To apply for this position, you should be confident with the tech aspect of smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs. You should also have working knowledge of search engines, web navigation, downloading music and web-based apps.

Virtual Assistant
BELAY is hiring experienced administrative professionals to support senior-level management clients. This is a 1099 role.
Virtual Assistants in this position may maintain calendars, emails and social media profiles, create workflow process, internet research, coordinate events and projects. You should be familiar with Infusionsoft and Salesforce in addition to commonly used work-at-home technology such as Dropbox, Google Docs, Evernote, etc.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred as is remote experience. Applicants should also have at least five years experience in an administrative support role.
Chat Tech Support Advisor
Becoming a chat tech support advisor at KellyConnect is another gig that checks many frequently requested boxes:
