Hey Caitlin, Working mothers will surely get inspiration from your story and take advantage of best piece of your advice.
I also want to suggest that before starting work from home as a court transcript proof-reader, one have to be familiar with legalities and terms of court proceedings. This can simply be learned from various online resources.

Wow, great insight! Your words really hit home as I really don’t like working in an office and have fought it for 30 years (yes! 30 years). I enjoy working on my own and proofing is my passion. I recently moved back to home city and am looking for a full-time job as an EA/PA but know that I won’t be happy. Language is preventing me from getting a decent paying job so I am still looking. I don’t want to keep looking but I have bills to pay. I don’t want to work for anyone else. I have always had part-time businesses working from home but only after my regular day work (at the office). I want to work full-time for myself. Thanks for the helpful info! Would you be able to provide the name of the app that is making your proofing easier?

There is something empowering and amazing when you are able to take the tools and skills that you have acquired and be able to generate income. I will definitely check out proofreadanywhere.
