Hi, Monica. The seller sets the price. The scanner will show you the selling rank of the item on Amazon, how many sellers have the item listed, the prices, how many are available for sale and more. Sellers use it to help them determine whether an item is worth purchasing for resale.

I have been searching for something like this, very excited. is it like ebay though in the sense you have to post photos and prices etc? or thry amazon does all that? Im sure you go over this in your boot camp.I dont understand what the scan thing on the smart phone does, to help decide to buy or not, who sets the prices?

There are a number of good reasons for getting an EIN. If you aren’t sure, I would recommend talking to an attorney or your local SCORE or SBA office.

For 99.9% of the items you list, once you put in the item and Amazon will automatically pull from their database. It is very rare you will have to take your own photo.

There is a steep learning curve with FBA. You can’t just go buy clearance items or cheap items and mail them in. Amazon has a pretty significant amount of fees that come off the top of the price, so you want to make sure you are either sending in a large volume of items or that you are sending it items with a high profit margin.

I started documenting my process on one of my sites, but I’m rebranding and moving things around on those sites. So, I didn’t keep up with the posts like I wanted to.

For anyone interested, I highly suggest reading Cynthia’s book. It’s pretty awesome. There are some others available on Kindle. You can also join the Facebook group and there’s even an old school Yahoo Group. All of them have been extremely helpful. YouTube is also a great resource. There are 1000s of videos showing you the ‘how-to’ and even people sharing their day-to-day of Amazon.

Most sellers use an app like ScanPower or Profit Bandit.

Pro sellers are those selling 40 or more items per month. They are able to pay a $39.99 monthly subscription in lieu of the $.99 per item fee.

I am wondering if it is available for Canadians as well. I have a US bank account but getting the product to the States, especially with UPS, would not be worthwhile.
