I got my first job by asking on a forum I belonged to whether people recommended using Elance, etc.. One of the other forum members e-mailed me and said he was looking for a writer. From there, business grew by word of mouth.

It seems that even being a bit vulnerable could go a longs way. It is so inspiring to hear that she did not even have a website.

In the end, it seems to me that it comes down to putting yourself out there. I love it. Just today I set a personal goal of talking to 2,000 people about blogging.
