It’s time to wrap up the week with my recommended “must reads” for online business owners and bloggers.
CommentLuv v.291 – One great thing about CommentLuv is that even though there is a premium version available, the free edition doesn’t suffer. Great features continue to be added. The update that rolled out this week includes advanced spam blocking (if you have seen some weird URLs in your comments lately, this may provide an explanation). If you write for a multi-author blog, there is additional functionality for you as well.
HootSuite – Another great update comes from our friends at HootSuite. I have long been a fan of this social media management tool, but I also used Buffer to ensure my tweets were going out at optimum times. Buffer may no longer be needed. HootSuite now includes an Auto-Scheduler that will send out updates when your followers are most likely watching.
Twitter Tips – The Twitter bio is a valuable piece of real estate that is often overlooked. Here are some great tips for turning those Twitter followers into blog subscribers.
Monetizing Online Forums – I don’t have a forum, but I have heard great things about this new free ebook from Skimlinks. If you are a forum owner looking to monetize that property, give it a read.
What Kind of Link? - There are a lot of terms used when people discuss links; reciprocal links, relational links, direct links. It’s confusing, to say the least. There is an article on the Bing Webmaster Central Blog that defines some of these terms and makes an effort to explain the difference between good links, bad links and worthless links.
Need New Business Marketing Materials? – There is a Groupon deal for $80 worth of Vistaprint products for only $20. Items include t-shirts, notepads, business cards, mouse pads, calendars, mugs, tote bags and more.
That is what I have been reading this week. What great reads have you discovered?

I notice Your using CommentLuv and that u mention it has a free version. If you don’t mind my asking do you use the free version? Or is it the premium version that you use? I ask because i read earlier today that the free version doesn’t leave the same footprint making it harder for people to find your blog. Was wonder if you have any idea if that is reliable information or not.
I am only using the free version at this time, Craig. I’m not sure about the footprint.
Yeah, free version is effective for your footprint. You don’t lose out greatly by using it. CommentLuv has been so useful for my blog, really great.
