- What Does Blog Stand For?
If you are new to blogging, you may question some of the lingo. One of those questions: What does blog stand for? “Blog” stands for Building a Life Of Gold. Okay, that is my definition. I’ll get to that in a minute.
In all seriousness, blog is short for weblog. That is what it was coined way back in 1997. Weblogs were usually daily logs, or journals, on the internet for the world to see. Some weblogger spiced things up by putting “we blog” in the sidebar of his online journal and there you have it. “Blog” stuck.
For me, my blog is where I build my life of gold. It churns a profit through affiliate marketing and promoting my business. It is where I share my successes and failures. It is where I get things out in the open. It is where I journal my online success strategies for building an online business. Both for the world, and for myself.
In wanting to use my blog to help others be successful, I often find myself learning new things. I get to do my blog reviews from time to time on really cool stuff. I get to share my experiences with the latest online business “marketing must do of the moment” and if or how I ever get it to be a ROI.
My blog keeps me going. I find peace and accomplishment here.

I like your definition. I’ve been blogging for almost ten years, though not in a public platform such as this. I started with LiveJournal when I was 17 and have been keeping an online blog ever since! I was introduced to this “blogoverse” about a year ago and never knew blogging could be fun AND profitable!
