If you have been a follower of my blog from the beginning, you may remember a post I did on Tribal Syndication. A tribe is a small group of bloggers who form an alliance to promote, motivate and support each other in their blogging endeavors.
I didn’t have much of a response from initial post and in turn I joined an existing tribe. An alliance like this requires a high-level of dedication and time. Unfortunately, the one I joined quickly fell apart. Sometimes that happens. Some bloggers go into it for what they are hoping to get with no plan of what they are going to give.
I let the dream of a blog alliance move to the back burner. If something isn’t working out as you plan, sometimes it is best not to push. That all changed when Super Follower Renee found that post and had the same vision. I forgot to respond to her initial comment and luckily she followed up with a second attempt. She has had a lot of the same wants and needs going on with her blog and that shared vision has led to a lot of brainstorming over the past days.
To say I had prepared when I had my initial vision is an understatement. I had set up a Ning community. I had been saving back some secrets. (I do think I share a lot here, but there are always things I keep close to vest for future dreams I have in mind.) I was ready to go! We are on our way (I think and hope) to seeing where we can grow from here.
If you are not already part of a small mastermind group, consider adding this to your blog arsenal. Maybe there are already a couple of bloggers that you converse with regularly. Use your existing relationships to kick something off. Build a small private group to share resources and ideas. Ning announced last week that they have plans to go to pay-only memberships, but Grouply is another option to avoid fees.
Sharing your experiences with people you know and trust allows you to grow and overcome obstacles. Having someone to hold you accountable for your actions is even more powerful. Having someone to push you beyond what you think is possible is priceless.

I laugh at my new title “Super Follower”, but it is true – I find your blog posts to be so valuable & I really appreciate this new group you’ve created. I know it takes time to gather individuals who can appreciate this sort of group. People have to want it, or be searching for it to become good candidates. It’s really important that they join because they want to & become dedicated to it. I really hope that it will take off…

thanks for popping over and supporting me. Like Rene, I hope it takes off. With any luck my time will free up soon and I can start to add value. All the best, Coryanne
