I welcome guest posters, but I do have a few rules. Please read them carefully before you submit a guest post through my Contact form.
1. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. I’m pretty proud of this online space. Only those posts that I feel are a true value to my readers will be accepted.
2. Information, not promotion. If you want to talk about your fabulous new eBook or how signing up for your downline is the best decision my readers will ever make, you are looking for a press release, not a guest post. Blatant self-promotion and/or affiliate links will be declined.
3. No duplicate content. Your post must be original and never published before. You also agree not to republish it again after it has been posted here.
4. Stay on topic. The Work at Home Wife is centered around running a home business and blogging. Please take a look at the categories in the sidebar to see if your content will be a good fit.
5. A link back to your blog will be allowed in your byline, but NOT within the post body.
6. While we are talking bylines, please include yours. This should be one or two sentences introducing yourself to my readers. Please include the name of your blog to be backlinked. No more than two links, please. (Feel free to include your links in parentheses behind your blog’s name. I will add them where they need to go.)
7. Your post may be slightly edited. Don’t be alarmed. I won’t change the intent or your voice, only make any small tweaks that I see fit to optimize the post for my own purposes.
8. Please help promote your guest post and respond to comments. It builds trust when your readers see you out and about on other blogs. My readers also appreciate it greatly if you stop back to answer any questions they ask in their comments. If you are unable (or unwilling) to help promote your post and respond to comments, your guest post will be removed. I’m sorry that it has come to adding this to the rules. However, this blog is not a drop-and-dash backlink directory.
9. Please be patient. I’m a busy gal. That’s one of the reasons I allow guest posts. Please allow me up to 7 days from submission to get back to you. If you don’t hear from me by then, feel free to follow-up.
Do not be deterred by any of the above. These are standard guest posting procedures. If I trust your intent and you are providing value to my readers, you should have no problem with acceptance. Now head on over to my Contact form and send me that fabulous guest post.
