If you are a Kindle publisher and Facebook user, there is a nifty app from Freebooksy that will allow you to easily set up a store on Facebook that features your Amazon listings.

In addition to being able to purchase your books easily, visitors can also sign up for your mailing list, view book signing events (or online book tour, maybe?) and share your author profile with their Friends.

Even if you are selling your ebooks on another platform, you can still use the Author Marketing App. Rather than plugging in the ISBN and letting it auto-populate the required fields, you would manually create your listing.

Things to Note
There was a small issue with character formatting when it pulled in the description from the ISBN. Apostrophes seem to wreak havoc everywhere they go online. It was a quick fix however. Click “Edit Book” and retype them. Upon saving, the description now appears correctly.
It does appear that Freebooksy is tagging Amazon listings with their Associates tag. I cannot verify that 100% as I don’t see it disclosed anywhere, but I’m okay with that for now. It’s a pretty cool little app and they are offering it at no charge. If it helps me sell a few more books, I’m happy to give them 15 cents per book for assisting in that sale.
You can get the Author Marketing App on Freebooksy.

This is so cool! I had no idea you could do that. If I ever get around to writing that e-book, I will for sure keep this in mind for my FB page.
Very cool! Can’t wait to test it out.
Great advice for thos who have books.
I’m going to be frequenting your site for tips this week…getting discouraged as a year that I am blogging is approaching. I would love to make money from this! I really do enjoy it but eventually need to be getting something out of it.
Follow along Tara, and check out some of the existing posts here. You have so many options for creating a blog income, don’t give up yet!
Cool app. Would it work if you were offering free ebooks? I’m considering writing one for my blog.
It depends, Carli. If your ebook will be available to everyone and freely distributed, yes. If it will only be available to your email subscribers, no. Most newsletter services do have a Facebook app available however.
I had no idea this existed! I am in the process of writing my first e-book. Thanks for the info. Visiting from sits!
This is royally cool. Do you have a blog post with other Facebook Apps? I’m really interested in tricking out my Facebook pages better than they currently are.
Thanks so much for sharing.
I don’t, Nicole. So much has changed over the past six months or so, I have just started looking into what neat little things are currently available. If you find anything cool, do share!
